Roll Call...
Well, I'm through the 3rd button hole. I've mapped the decreases and I'm only about 34 rows before they begin.
I had to reknit a cable--don't know HOW I made the error, but it was too plain to just let it lay. I frogged the cable and reknit it. I made the same sort of mistake on the back, and frogged down about 10 rows (cable only) and then SWEAT BULLETS reknitting it.
I suppose it's true that after you do it once, the second time is MUCH easier.
So where is everyone else?

I'm almost done the hat - the sweater is going to be my Knitting Olympics project. Am I crazy?

I've finished the back and the left front, and I'm about 6 inches into the right front. I've done 2 buttonholes so far. I had to respace the buttonholes (and the raglan decs) because I had to make it longer (my row gauge was way off).
Respacing the buttonholes was interesting because in addition to doing extra rows, I did some short rows to prevent splaying of the front bands (which I think looks good).

I decided to do the sleeves first since my guage was different as were my measurements. Now that I am close to the underarm, I went back and double checked my row guage to make sure my raglan decreases would be correct. I plan to knit the body in one piece without the button bands and make it longer than the original sweater. Once I get to the underarm, I am going to join the arms and body and do the whole thing in one piece. The raglan decreases and their length should be consistent this way. I always try to do as many pieces together as possible. That way, any maistake doesn't look odd when in context with the others and the same pieces (sleeves and body parts) are the same measurements.
