Morehouse Merino

Has anyone tried Morehouse Merino 3-strand worsted? It is supposed to knit at 4 - 4.5 st/inch on 5 -8 needles. There is a wonderful selection of colors. I think I'll order a skein and do some swatching with it. (My book should be here by Tuesday! Yaaaaah!

Dicksie,
I love Morehouse yarns. I knit an Aran in the 2-ply twill. It has more twist for better stitch definition, but it's a sportweight. The 3-ply is softly spun and unless knit very tightly, it will pill like crazy. A better choice if you want merino would be the 2-ply merino from Greenwood Hill Farm: http://www.storesonline.com/site/440199/product/2PWW

I knit a swatch for this sweater and it really looks nice. It has a firm twist and you will be able to get gauge. It's soft as butter, knits like a dream and has great stitch definition. The downside is it only comes in white. I plan on dyeing some myself :)
